Forgive Yourself

September 1, 2011 § Leave a comment

“The world is far too complex for a solution. We were exiled from the garden

of eden, that’s what I understand as the nature of the human predicament.

This is not paradise and we can’t really put the world in order, but that

doesn’t mean one shouldn’t try to live in harmony with one’s self and one’s

friends. Forget your perfect offering. If you can, it’s not a bad idea.

First of all, there is no perfect offering. Anything you come up with is

going to be flawed and that understanding that the whole thing is flawed,

this is not eden, it is a flawed world. It’s true that if you’re lucky you

can begin forgiving yourself for your meagre offering.”
